Customer-operated event streaming · Developer preview

CoreStream

An independently developed, distributed event-streaming platform with Kafka client and protocol compatibility—built for durable operation inside your Kubernetes environment.

01 / THE PLATFORM

Familiar clients.
A distinct streaming platform.

CoreStream is not Apache Kafka. It is a CoreVar-built platform that implements Kafka-compatible protocol surfaces so teams can use familiar clients while operating an integrated broker, management API, security perimeter, and console as one product.

Built for durable event flows

Streaming foundations that belong together.

01

Durable partitioned logs

Segmented storage, retention controls, compression, sparse indexes, recovery, and disk-safety guardrails.

02

Replication and coordination

Multi-broker replication, in-sync replica tracking, controller-quorum metadata, leader election, and consumer groups.

03

Transactional workflows

Idempotent production, transactional writes, durable offsets, and read-committed consumption through compatible client flows.

04

Security and resource governance

TLS, SASL/PLAIN, SCRAM, default-deny ACLs, connection controls, request limits, and per-principal quotas.

05

Observable operations

Health endpoints, operational metrics, structured audit events, storage visibility, backup tooling, and rolling-maintenance controls.

Your Kubernetes environment

Customer-operated by design.

CoreStream runs as a hardened Linux container deployed with Helm across supported Kubernetes environments. Customers retain control of networking, identity, encryption keys, persistent storage, retention, backups, monitoring, and data residency.

Embedded operations console

See the system you operate.

The authenticated CoreStream console brings broker health, topology, partitions, storage headroom, workloads, security administration, and lifecycle operations into the product. Management mutations use authenticated sessions and CSRF protection.

  • Topics, partitions, leaders, and replicas
  • Users, ACLs, quotas, and audit signals
  • Operational support and maintenance controls

Optional CoreControl management

Disconnected by default.
Connected only by choice.

CoreStream operates without CoreVar access to the customer's private network. Optional CoreControl participation is disabled by default. When a customer explicitly enrolls, CoreStream initiates an authenticated outbound-only management connection.

Installing CoreStream does not cause Kafka record keys, values, or headers to be transmitted to CoreVar.
